Alan Brain is an award-winning filmmaker and film editor who works in television, film, and documentary. He has extensive experience on a variety of projects, including documentaries, scripted television dramas, feature films, short films, and social media content.
He has a track record of producing highly effective documentary, television, film, corporate, educational, and marketing content for a variety of organizations, including the United Nations, American Sociological Association, Amnesty International, and Al Jazeera.
His work has been featured at renowned film festivals including DOC NYC, DOXA Documentary Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, and Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival. His most recent feature-length documentary film, ‘The Rumba Kings,’ won numerous awards, such as Best Musical Documentary at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, Best Diaspora Documentary at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, and Best Feature Documentary at the Pan-African Film Festival in Cannes.

After spending the majority of 2022 promoting his film The Rumba Kings, both online and in person, around Europe, Africa, North America, and South America, Alan has relocated to the United States, to the Washington D.C. area.
