Mama Kie Kie

Filmed on location in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This piece started as an experiment trying to find a Congolese artist who could do a stand-up comedy routine.

Maggie was the only comedian who understood what we wanted to do. We worked with her for two weeks and this was the result.
