Filmed on location in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This is the third episode of a series of documentaries I made about women’s rights and gender equality in Kinshasa (DR Congo) for the United Nations.

This video focuses on three cases that demonstrate the steep challenges that women have to face in Congo.

One politician is removed from her party’s electoral list without explanations, a farmer tries to defend her land from corrupt bureaucrats, and a wife suffers the abuse of her dead husband’s family.
