Filmed on location in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This is the story of man that decided to create one of the very few libraries in Kinshasa.

There are no more than five libraries in the whole city and all of them together have fewer books than any school library in South America, Europe or USA.

The really high illiteracy rates plays a big role in this situation but there are other factors. Between the loud noise of the Evangelical Churches sound systems and the frantic Congolese rythms that the radio puts out at every corner, is impossible to find the necessary pause to read a book in Kinshasa.

Nevertheless, in Kimbanseke, one of the poorest districts of Kinshasa, the story is slowly changing.
